I like watching golf with people who really love golf. They get excited and explain what's going on to me. It's like playing golf in that regard. I would never have the initiative to go play on my own, I just don't like it, but if the right person invites me for a nice day of walking on the lawn and chasing turtles on the fairway, I'm game.

Down here in FL it isn't turtles that you'll find on the golf courses....it's the alligators! Those big lizards just love hanging out on the links---- makes searching for an errant ball........ ah...exciting!

I find this to be true of a lot of sports. Watching with someone who knows and loves the sport makes it much more interesting. I've watched a couple of baseball games with a retired MLB player and it was fascinating and enjoyable. I'll never watch one on my own but I look forward to seeing another with him.
I think golf would be more interesting if it was combined with skeet. That's a game I'd watch. Heck, I'd even play!
