I felt like the second movie is a bridge for the final movie. As a stand alone it was action packed and wonderfully choreographed. Cinematography was excellent and most stunts were superbly blended. All of this was needed because the premise and story sucked. I'll watch it over and over.
I thought Chapter 2 was a bit light on plot. Still very good, but a bit light. And that whole "super honor among thieves" thing is a bit much, but whatever. I suppose by the time Wick is done with them in Chapter 3, there's won't be any thieves left to worry about "honor."
We watched The Man from Nowhere yesterday. It had plenty of plot. And action. It was unfortunately dubbed. I prefer original soundtracks and subs.

Ha Ha, for a second there, I thought you meant an actor who is currently in litigation, and best known for his portrayal of a TV doctor whose last name rhymes with Ruxtable.

I haven't watched it yet but was intrigued by the use of a genderqueer female as an antagonist. Shame she didn't last long, though.
Wick 2 was good. 3 Will probably have insane action.

Glad to see another Korean movie fan. Korean action movies are leagues beyond American/hollywood stuff.

Yeah, it was good. Actually had anatomically correct knife fighting. Not something you usually see in movies. And the bullet proof glass scene was good too. I knew that one was coming because I knew how that stuff works.

I never knew (or thought) much about Keanu, but a couple of months ago I listened to the nerdist.com podcast he was on. He comes across as a pretty cool, smart guy, very likeable.
The guy has spent obscene amounts of his own money producing films that lost money just because a) It's something he thought was cool and wouldn't get made any other way or b) It's something a trusted friend of his wanted to get made and he believed in their creative passion enough to lose money financing it.
To quote Rocky Balboa*, "That's how winning is done."
*PS: Despite all the high-profile stuff, Stallone is very much another guy from this mold. Vin Diesel as well. These are guys that leverage their success to further the creative process, and I have a lot of respect for that.
True story. That's how that Witch movie vin did got made. It's even based on his d&d character.
I thought The Last Witch Hunter was good, and I usually don't watch that kind of movie.
If you run across it, that Vin movie Find Me Guilty is good also. Quite different than any other Vin movie you've seen.
I just saw Wick 1 last week, I was pretty impressed. I've always liked Keanu - not shakespeare, but seems to have a good time and do what he does right. Kind of the same thing with Vin Diesel. I like him, even though he usually plays the same character. Jason Statham and Duane Johnson kind of fit that same mold.
I caught Last Witch Hunter on netflix and was really impressed. Need to rewatch that one actually.
While Wick II is good, I think The Accountant is a better movie. Much more of a story and still some good action.
If you are worried about Aflecks wooden acting style, it works perfectly for this movie (his character is autistic)
I would have to agree that The Accountant is better than Wick 2. It has more plot. I had about given up on Affleck movies after Paycheck, but that one is actually good.
There was a Bourne movie, I forget which one, but the movie had zero plot and was one action chase scene that was like 2 hours long. They should have called it The Bourne Chase Scene.

He played the villain in Kenneth Branaugh's production of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing"...

This is Wick. Yes John Wick. I would like to make a dinner reservation for twelve.
Ok so I finally got around to watch this and about the only thing I came away with is that there will be a number three. I mean they never gave the dog a name so there has to be a third movie.

QFT.
I watch A LOT of foreign films because Hollywood is too focused on prequels, sequels, reboots and remakes.
