Johnny Dip and Amber Hurt Trial. Please just shoot me now.

Mrs Heretic is making me watch this drama on Court TV. She's a Johnny Dip fan and I just hate them both. 

I don't want to know the sordid details of relationship dysfunction of people I actually know and care about.

I actively dislike being subjected to the sordid details of the dysfunctional relationship of celebrities.

My only interest is someone being E36 M3ty, and thinking they can get away with it because of gender. That can set a bad president for everyone, not just celebrities.

Seriously good question.  Politicians from all sides of the isle.

I think they are both very disturbed individuals and I find the whole mess sad. I do not watch or listen to any of it. 

I don't know, seems like a pretty normal relationship from my experience.

Because Maxwell is connected to important people who can actually control what the media reports on who really don't want to be in the news. Johnny and Amber are just trained monkeys whose job description includes bringing more attention to themselves.

I'm still amazed that Maxwell is still alive.

My wife loves shows like that. She used to get pissed when she turned something like that on and I would get up and go out to the shop. "I watch what you like, why can't you watch what I like?"

She would get really pissed when I respond with, "Because I'm not stupid enough to watch that E36 M3. I would rather remove my pubic hair with tweezers than subject myself to that inane drivel."

Then when I would come back in from the shop I usually ask, "Do you feel stupider? I'm pretty sure every minute of watching that crap kills 1000 brain cells. You probably just lost 5 IQ points."

It's about money.

It's about getting your attention through outrageous behavior, then getting you to look at the ad they plastered next to it.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

This week it's Johnny Dipp and Amber. Next week, The Kardashians. After that, who knows, but somebody will be outrageous and everybody else will be looking.

The sad thing is that you can get rich by releasing a sex tape, then hiring a publicist. You can be an "influencer" just by being young, cute and on Tik Tok. 

Today's media just sucks.

Eh.  Who cares?  I think watching sports is dull too... so I just don't watch them.  But I don't expect others to enjoy the activities I do in my spare time.

I'm not going to go out on a limb and say that Stampie is the allegorical "Everyman," but I do think that far too many people today do in fact view the meltdown of this relationship as "normal."  That should alarm us all.
