"Our chicken diapers are not just for the fashion obsessed hen. They offer you and your home protection against the inevitable! Our diapers fit comfortably and allow you to enjoy your birds in the house or car without worry!"

That's a valid question and I appreciate your concern!
Actually, my Dad found a humourous clip in the newspaper and mailed it to me, knowing that I keep a few hens for fresh eggs. I do not, nor have I ever considered, putting diapers on them and letting them into my house or my car.

While at Land Between the Lakes last summer, we went to a wildlife expo thing at the nature center there where they trotted out a bunch of animals. One of them was some sort of fancy chicken that are apparently "show chickens" of some sort. While they lay eggs and all that, the presenter said that they can be kept as regular house pets in areas that prohibit livestock since they're not considered livestock, but some sort of show animal. He touted it as a way to get your fresh eggs without running a-"fowl" of the zoning authorities. Now, I don't know how much of that is true, but he did say that most people would put diapers on these chickens and keep them as house pets.
That makes more sense than keeping a chicken as a pet as if it would be enjoyable...not much more sense, but a little.
They make shoulder cloths for parrots and such... but I guess the typical house chicken doesn't perch on your shoulder much.
I had a parakeet trained to bend a biscuit when I said 'poop!' He'd tense up, concentrate, and drop a deuce. That was good for ~10min of shoulder time.
Well, no E36 M3. Who'da thunk it?

My coworker just informed me last month of the existence of chicken diapers. He and his wife raise weird chickens (like silkies (sp?)) and they get to come into the house sometimes... and get washed and blow-dried (I E36 M3 you not). Apparently they love it.
No complaints from this peanut gallery though. What a man does with his own beloved chickens on his own property is none of my concern.
Especially when I get delicious fresh eggs out of the deal.
he's got the kink, and was looking for pix of "chick in diapers"
I enjoy chicken in the house all the time and never really needed diapers for it. A serving tray works great. In the car I use a bun.
