My son is a videographer, who also loves cars. Actually, he'd call himself a storyteller.
He has an idea for a video, and he is looking for someone to film.
He is looking for someone who is passionate about their car, and has decades of time and knowledge worth capturing on film.
Classic Porsche owners come to mind, but he's not stuck on that. Maybe Ferrari, BMW, or some other.
Here's a couple examples of his work, to give you an idea of what he does:
Harley Davidson
The Brewmaster
So, who do you know worth filming?
Here's his website if you'd like to see more:
Fenner is...
Paging Maroon 92 to this thread.
Hurley Haywood would be a decent 2nd best
Javelin hated his Porsche.
I like to consider myself an historian of the Porsche past, and I've never been happier than with my 944. I'd be glad to help.

Sorry.....all I remember is him proudly showing his wife that it was in the magazine as Internet Hot Rod Of The Month
I know a couple of guys that know SAABs, especially the 2 stroke and V4 era cars better than most of the people that built them. one of them has, quite literally, a museum quality collection, and a ton of interesting stories. If that interests him I can help set up communication.

Keep in mind, his interest is not just the cars, it's the characters.
I dont know him, but I love his build thread ... he is in Atlanta so probably near you? ... I believe his name is Lorin:

Fixed that for you. I never had an ill word to say about my 944, and I still kind of miss it. I got offered double what I had in it, selling was a no-brainer. Plus, I still own my 928(*)
(*) said 928 is mostly a frozen shortblock and a bunch of random bits in my shed, with a title!)

Correct! In fact, one of the guys in our PCA had that article blown up and framed for me. It's hanging in the garage.
I have over a decade of experience with 3rd generation Honda Accords. I've owned 4 runners and currently have several parts cars, a driver, and a car I plan on turning into a race car. My shed, closets, and my parents' back yard are full of parts for those cars.
Not sure if that's close to what you're looking for (I haven't watched the videos you posted yet).

I know a guy in Boone NC who is the most knowledgeable person I've ever met about E21 BMW's. He's a Vietnam vet, kinda eccentric and has maybe ten cars throughout a couple of buildings there. Including a rare factory campaigned turbo race car. I haven't heard from him in about six years however, he closed up his website and doesn't frequent any forums. I've met him in person a couple times and his passion for these little cars really shines through. Kinda reminds me of the guy in the brewmaster video.
Jeeps? I've had 14 or so from the 1940's to the 2000's. I don't have one now though, so it might ruin my credibility?

I don't think Hondas or Jeeps are what he is looking for.

That sounds pretty close- do you know how to get in contact with him?

I know the perfect person. Extremely knowledgable in cars, planes, racing, building, engineering,etc.. Full of character. Type of person you could listen to all day and never hear the same thing twice.
I sent an email to your son. Hopefully I can put the 2 in contact
How about Corvairs? Because most of the people who repair them for a living are very interesting individuals.
My old boss Larry Claypool is extremely knowledgeable about Corvairs and knows them inside and out. He is probably the most knowledgeable person I know that knows a single make.

There's a guy near me - not so much a single marque guy - runs a chassis shop - but it's littered with new and old race cars of all kinds - drag race to road race - he's forgotten more than I'll ever know about building race cars. First story he ever told me was about the time he was working on Jack Brabham's car...

I think he is particularly interested in a single marque person for this project.
I know a guy who builds some interesting/awesome custom motorcycles (mostly chopped + hardtailed 70s Triumphs [think opposite of OCC]) who is pretty unique and passionate about them. Probably not helpful to your son in this case, but if he ever wants to venture into the mind of a custom bike builder, let me know.
Excellent videos by the way.

I sent out an email to the only address I have for him. It was tied into his old website so I don't know if it's good anymore.

Thank you. (Proud Dad)
I'll bet he'd be interested. Can you send me any contact info?
