They are crowding the cop cars and the perp's car.
I think some guy just spit in the face of one of the cops. Looked like the cop told him to get back from the line, guy spread his arms then as he walked away his head jolted forward like someone spitting.
The swarm of people that came out after capture was amazing.
I thought bad things might happen. The robbers may have been seen as the "good guys" since they were giving out money and the cops seen as the bad guys since they stopped "making it rain."
Apparently listening to gangsta rap as a teenager gave me a good knowledge of South Central LA street names.
The poor Coca-Cola driver is screwed. I did that job and he still has to make his deliveries for the day. It's gonna be a long day.
Some of them are working.
Agreed John. I was worried someone might try to get them out of the cop cars.
The sheer number of black n' white cop cars is amazing. I estimate about 75, and I think I'm probably low.

Sounds a lot like the bank robbery scene from In Time.
I thought people would rush the empty robber's car thinking there was more money in there, leading to close range gun fire from cops.
The robber's are also likely from the neighborhood and therefore "known" by locals which could draw support to the robbers to have "friends" join in.
