I was gonna say, I was 9000% certain the real date in the movie was in 2015. 30 years into the future from 1985. just like 1955 was 30 years prior.

So they still have 3 years to bring us hoverboards and flying cars? Awesome. Ya know what though... Forget flying cars. Most of the mouth breathers on the road right now have a hard enough time driving in 2 dimensions, let alone THREE!
