I bought a Volvo Amazon from a guy a few years back; as we were doing the paperwork he mentioned he's gotten the car in 1974, when he traded his Olds 442 for it.
My first RX-7, a nonrunner Series 4 GXL, was purchased from someone who bought a new Saturn SC2 to replace it.
Fast forward a few years. I am working at Saturn of Columbus. The service manager had a beautiful, creampuff Series 5 Turbo II that he bought after someone traded it in... on a new SC2.
I wonder if is more than just a coincidence that the RX-8 had rear hinged rear doors like the later Saturn SCs.
