I am pretty sure most all oil is the result of the breakdown of plant matter (mostly as the result of the plant bloom during the carboniferous period I believe), not dinosaurs.

Production improvements mean they probably could be. There was a time about 2008 where Mattel asked the RedLine Club what the preference was; raise basic prices to 1.69 or keep them 1.00 and cheapen the product. Keep basics at a dollar was the answer but make more higher priced cars with metal bases, rubber tires and opening feature. So we have more "adult" lines and still have the basic at a solid entry level price.

Correct!  for thousands of years the world did not have any fungi or microbes that could break down wood.  So every tree or plant that fell over just laid there. 

Kinda makes you wonder how old they got.

Related fact, modern day we have a microbe that has learned to eat plastics. Isn't that terrifying?

Ok, maybe not hundreds of Porsches.   But I have 3 911s on my desk at work.  

Just to clarify, the definition of pendantic (as shown above) is to be overly concerned with "minor things".   Implying the source of oil is from something it entirely isn't is not a "minor thing" or minor detail, it's the entire basis of the statement. 

Is correcting someone on what pendantic actually means pendantic?  

Hey, do we want to progressively get smarter, or dumber?

(btw I mean no insult to the OP, the dinosaur thing is pretty common and does form the basis of a decent joke, even if incorrect)
