i know there are alot of plane guys on here so i will throw this out... i am in fort morgan alabama today (beach) which is suppose to be in the blue angels training flight path, the fog is as thick as "pea soup" here it is 2:00pm and you cannot see across the road, and we keep hearing these prop planes diving and pulling up and diving like they are in a dog fight but we cannot she E36 M3, just keep hearing up and down etc...now we fill this rumble and hear a loud noise like a sonic boom or a bomb....to many raw oysters or what???
Above the fog or just offshore where there is not any fog.

i cannot tell all we can see is fog 360 degrees.
T-6's out of Whiting in Milton? I did my initial there in T-34's in 2000. It was stressful as hell, but god, did I love the aerobatics phase. My precision-tuned eye would not likely consider that 1000/3 (minimums for visual flight rules- 1000' ceiling and 3 mile visibility).
Could be doing instrument training and certification and the fog may also only be on the shore and be clear and sunny out on the water.

i do recall seeing those planes in the late 80's when i was delivering aircraft fuel out there.....
A fog overcast may only be a few hundred feet thick. Probably clear blue above it.
IFR. You can fly in soup.
