We have Rants, Wins, and Confessions. Well, today I had what can best be described as a Minor Fail.
Walking the dog this morning. Jogger goes past. At first I think the dog is going to be cool, but 10 feet past us he decides he's going to get over-excited and start barking/chasing. He's not aggressive, just an anxious doofus, but I don't want to be "That Guy" who lets his dog "lunge" at people.
So, I pull up on the leash to reign him in... and pulled his collar strait off of his neck.
Dog goes running down the path barking his head off at the jogger while I madly apologize, holding up the empty collar hanging from the leash. Thankfully everything ended up cool. He is *not* aggressive and just ran up until he was about 5' away, barking and wagging his tail. The jogger was cool and stopped but didn't freak out. He came right back when I called him. Kept squirming excitedly as I tried to get his collar back on one-handed.
