I am moving to Tennessee in August until end of December and I cannot find a place to live. Most people/places either do not do such short leases or are not subleasing their apartment. The ones who have a place advertised for the fall have not responded to my emails. Ive sent probably almost a dozen. Argh!

Tired of my DD. Has a ton of miles and neglected by the PO. I have some fun projects waiting around. This one is slowly sapping all the fun out playing around with machinery. Not looking forward to an e36 clutch job.
Berking commie steel camshaft, having to go flat on me now of all times.
At least the shift light tach and temp gauge works now!
I hate wiring. Anyone want a bare '90 Miata roller so I can start over?
stupid samurai shifter linkage/bushings
the shifter locator bolt broke in half when we got it out, and the half that is still in there has a couple threads still holding it in. We brought with us: a ratchet, 10mm and 12mm sockets, and thats it. We didn't bring gloves so of course we're all greasy and gooey when we get back in my bud's new to him h3, which we hopefully didn't stain.
Oh, and the sammy was parked outside with the windows down after its one successful mudding mission so far, so its covered in mud inside and out, full of spiders, and musty because it's rained every day this month. I hate spiders.
We found channel locks in the back (somebody welded an old metal toolbox to the floor) and used those to get the shifter assy apart but they are too big to back the broken end of the bolt out. we have a replacement bolt, we just cant use it because the old one is stuck. we have no needle nose which would probably make it alot easier to get the end out.
sweeet.
Oh, and my 86 year old grandfather goes under the knife tuesday to remove a tumor on his bladder, just hoping he comes through alright (they aren't putting him under, just doing a spinal tap) they get everything and that it didn't spread. (scans didn't show anything else, but they are 95% sure its cancerous.)
I have never seen him sick, my dads side of the family has no health problems, we have no history of cancer, so this is way out there for all of us, and he's pretty worried about it. My grandmother, of course, is more worried. In 5 weeks they will have been married for 65 years.
Buddy, who isn't a car guy by any stretch, dead-set on going back into debt to buy a truck, even in the face of a not-insubstantial daily commute and no need for the hauling capacity of a truck.
Will not take any advice from me.
Stupid suction cup mount that gopro sells.. worthless. Placed it on a clean rear window.. fell off 5 minutes later, leaving my brandnew go pro to get runover by who knows how many cars and trucks on the New York Thruway
Found 3 cars this weekend... Instantly in love with two of them, sadly the only one I didn't like was in my work car price range... It's hit a deer and the owner isn't answering my GFs messages, they work together.
Disc brake calipers are so easy, its scary. WHY ARE YOU SO EASY, CALIPERS?!

Unless it's changed since the Hero HD one, I'm calling shenanigans. Mine has survived 130+ MPH at PIR.

I teathered mine just in case.
I go into a office in town regularly. I'm always carrying water or a diet coke. Every single time I've ever been in there they offer me a soda or water. Today I carried no beverage with me in and they stared at me blankly and offered nothing... I was finally going to accept their offer.
Minor rant? How about the biggest rant of all time collectively said by every man:
I don't understand women
I went on a date. It went great. I didn't make any moves because I can control myself and she just got out of a long term relationship a month or two ago, no need to move fast. She's an awesome individual (I've known her for a while as acquaintances of other friends).
Now she seems disinterested.
Now she is randomly talking to me on facebook. Friend zoned? Not friend zoned? Dating material? F*&k buddies? Who knows. I sure don't. I'm gone for 21 days, no way to try and get another date any sooner.

"Hey, I had a great time and I'd love to go on another date, but am out of town. Lets make a reservation at this Mexican place for when I get back, I hear they make great margarita's".
Then see where the night leads with tequila in the drivers seat
Tequila is your friend in this situation. Truth elixir
My push mower is broke with a poorly designed mower deck, it broke out the engine mounting bolts. My grass is 2' high. A new mower deck is $150 plus shipping!! Go eat a bag of dicks shiny happy people.
I say get off Facebook. That is the express lane to friendzone. Takes all mystery out of your acquaintance hood and chops off your balls everytime you like a kitten video.
I don't social media unless its a car/truck forum. If someone wants an update on my status... They should probably stop by my house or call me.
(In reply to Ranger50)
Time to break out the welder. I gave 250 for my last rider (just needed a cpl weld in washers to line up the deck) and gave 20 bucks for my last self propelled push mower. It needed a new belt tensioner. No big. My yard would be 6 ft tall before I have 150 for anything on or around a push mower.
Gonna disagree with Frank,
My fiance and I were friends until we ended up connecting more closely through facebook / facebook chat while she was in England. Ended up talking at all hours of the night and all that young love stuff. She came back, I let her breathe for a week, went up to visit and we became an item. Getting married next year.
She became more entrigued through facebook stalking me. Aparrently the bits of life with my motorsports friends screamed adventure to her.
In reply to FranktheTank:
That would require welder access or a welder in general.

Basically where I am at. Like I said, the first date went great (I think), but no idea if she is actually that interested. She definitely likes me, but with women, that can mean a million different things.
I'm not stressed over it, they just confuse the crap out of me. I'd rather the 21 days of work be over and get to find out, rather than wait. Plenty of fish in the pond. This one is a couple years younger than me as well, but our personalities/maturity levels seem to mesh. No, she is not 18, because ~18 year olds are never mature no matter how they act.

this
Whoa whoa whoa - hang on just a second.
Women confuse men?
Who knew?
The level of conflict that has seemed to propagate the GRM forums as of late. It doesn't seem like disagreements on a subject but personal attacks.
HiTemp,
Mojo is right, call her, lay it out there. Straightforward is best in these situations. Women are often afraid to come right out and speak their minds on these matters.
