So I hooked things up to the crock pot with water in it and put both the sensor of the controller in as well as my cooking thermometer that has a temp alarm on it. I found that using the keep warm setting on the crock pot I have found that there is only three degrees of creep above the shut off set point. This is perfect!!!!!!. So tomorow I am going to make my first batch of yogurt with it. It should make the process much simpler. Basically before I had to babysit it through the 8-12 hour incubation period. Now I don't have to do that. Turns the process in to a twenty minute preparation of the milk and the culture and then let the temperature controller on the crock pot take care of things. I may start a build thread for this.
