As promised, I'm doing a BUILD THREAD. I'll update it, and once the printer is done, I'll put pics of some prints here too.

Great! Can you test it out by printing up some security guards, so that the high security facility that I'm waiting to do a job in will have enough personnel to check me in?
At the current rate, if you print them today and mail them to PA, I might be done by Friday afternoon, which would be significantly faster that things are moving now.

Do they just not pay well, or are they having a hard time finding quality candidates?
In reply to Tactical Penguin:
IDK, if the pay goes directly proportional to number of weapons carried, these guys are making at least 3 X more than Joe Average security officer.
I am seriously uncomfortable working at this particular job site.

That's the next step. The blurb that 3d printing is jusf 2d printing over and over again is accurate. There is a kit that allows you to build a printer like that, but it relies on a new, 1089p projector. That drove the price above my limit, by quite a bit.
The girl that is basically SWMBO at this point took her kid to a local bar here in Dayton that has food/drinks and at least 1-2 3D printers that you can order stuff printed while you wait. She had a Dalek made for her daughter that was pretty cool (even if it glitched 1/2 way thru and they had to send a replacement later).
See if I can find the link. I need to check this place out myself now that I'm out of hibernation for the winter...Build Bar
