If speed is your thing, you will want to check out some local tracks so you can lay down the hp out there.

Ahh... Contrast was an issue in the picture. I've installed my fair share of those.
Needs a wing and underbodys.
What should really be done? What do you want to do? Improve handling? Economy? Grrrrrowl?

You ought to know out of anyone here... Beige Toyotas rule all sleepers.
That's a very nice car. At some point you'll want to get your hands dirty and the first thing I would do is put in a fresh set of NGK spark plugs. I'm pretty sure your car is uses iridium plugs. Don't use Bosch plugs or Bosch anything.
Iridium spark plugs are used on newer cars and can be used on most older cars. Iridium plugs are 2-3 times more expensive than old school plugs but are worth the cost.

Very true. AutoX can do this for you! Yes, we know you are going to tinker with your new toy. If you take a look through my garage you can see, I did the same crap.
AutoX will keep you in a safe environment to improve.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
Hey... I went to my first autox on coilovers star specs and massive sways... Still managed to loop it and post slow time of day.
I believe iridium can also be sharpened to a finer point which in some cases may help performance. I prefer to stick to OEM because I expect to have to tear into the engine within 30K. Because I break things. A lot.
such a nice group of guys on this forum
Nice first car. I wouldn't put much money into it looking for acceleration gains. If it were mine, I'd go for some lowering springs and performance shocks, then probably leave it alone and let it be reliable transportation.
