If NASCAR (or F1 for that matter) fans cared about good racing instead of the drama, they would all be touring car fans 
Kudos to NASCAR for the penalties and coming down hard on MWR for that unsportsmanlike bull---- that they pulled. Race; if your not good enough to get into the chase: better luck next year. Giving teammates spots is one thing; but wrecking on purpose to manipulate the race is dangerous and wrong. No different than if a crew member had run out onto the track to cause a caution.

Michael Waltrip Racing. The only team in Nascar (that I know of) to get caught with jet fuel in the intake. They got a fairly stiff penalty that time as well. There's pushing the rules, and then there's just being stupid. Congrats to Nascar for making a good call for once, but why does Bowyer get off basically unscathed? Also great news for Ryan Newman. Heckuva weekend for him.
I was actually under the impression that Bowyer lost 50 points in the chase, not before it. I think he should get some type of penalty but it looks like he got nothing....that kind of sucks.

Indefinitely only lasts until Skeen is offered a seat in another Nascar race.
Hell, Skeen should open a PayPal account and ask for donations. Odds are strong he would get enough to buy a ride in a good car.
Speaking of Nascar, they really rooted the pooch by failing to penalize Edwards for jumping a re-start. Seems like Johnson got dinged a couple times this year for doing the exact thing.
It's sad to see incompetency rewarded with attention and lots of money.

NASCAR inconsistency of rules enforcement has been an issue that Pemberton hasn't been able to get his hands around.

Supposedly, Minard spun his old left side tire and hit Edwards in his door. that made it OK. At least that is the story.

all the money that NASCAR gets from penalties and fines goes to charity... i wonder who gets the tax write off- NASCAR or the team/person paying the fine?

I tend to agree with that assessment. He hit the throttle first, and bounced off Carl a couple of times on his way to the green flag. No harm, no foul in my eyes, because if Carl would have backed off to stay behind, he would have been jacked up from behind and wrecked half the field.
I thought it was cheap when they penalised Jimmy, and they were pretty blatant...at least Montoya's slickering of him was pretty blatant.

Hey. Sorry. I'm not bagging on NASCAR here. I realize that most, read "all", sanctioning bodies put profit before sport.
Also, what does jet fuel in your intake indicate? Is jet fuel that much higher octane than racing fuel? I must be missing something.....
