There are some seriously good ideas here. I think I'll have to do a vote thread shortly

I use drones a lot to get eyes on things that would otherwise cost tens of thousands to get a person to take a look at. I gave up on the cheep gigs like real-estate agents or weddings and what not. They are not willing to pay and figure that it is ok if some ones kid flys the property for them and gives them $20 and a pizza. Oh and then there is getting paid by these types of people. Ya they are the worst.

It all added up to not being worth it to have to beg for $500 from some one for beauty shots that they then either want to pay you when the property sells or they just don't value your time thinking that your drone service is worth minimum wage per hour for only the time you are actually flying and not the time to takes to travel or the time it takes to download the images or the time it takes to prep the equipment before the flight.  Or the value it adds to there listing.

or

Charge many thousands to took at something that would cost ten to twenty thousand to get a person to and get  paid in less than 30 days. And they are happy to pay it as you have solved a problem and saved them many thousands. I can net 3k for half a days work.  I have netted 10k on bigger jobs with a flight crew staff of three to four people that the more complicated jobs require.

For commercial flights you really should have two people. One to fly the drone and be focused on it while the mission specialist keeps an eye on the big picture as well as acts as a second sets of eyes on the drone and the surroundings. The stuff I do I will be flying with in feet of buildings and things so the added eyes is a big help for me (the pilot) as I have to be completely focused in the flying and to keep an eye on the big picture to warn me about things out of my focus.

Can you give a few examples of the types of work you are referring to?

Yes but later when I am not on my phone. But 99.9 percent of it complements my company's building investigation work and facade inspection work.

The biggest thing is that clients don't know they need your drone services. I make a lot of $$$ with it because I save my clients money doing it. It is a tool that I use to better serve my clients.
