need a small amount of starshield type material

.....where to find?

I need about a 14" square piece to cut up and use on a couple of bikes. Any idea where to get a small piece of this stuff? Thought about buying a Zaggshield for an ipad, but that's $35! Would like to see if there is a cheaper solution/alternative out there.........

You mean the protective film stuff for cars?

How about just a sheet of 3M vinyl decal stuff (like sign companies use for wraps) ? You can probably find that much in the trash or cutoff box at a place that routinely does vehicles.

Sounds like 3M Scotchguard clear film. I ordered a 2'X3' sheet online for paint protection use underneath mud flaps and behind wheelwells on my new truck, cut and trim to fit. It's available in rolls and sheets from inches to feet wide X length. Some sites are stupid crazy priced but shopping around online will find ya something reasonable. I don't remember the site I ordered from but they were pretty reasonable. I'll look around for my old receipt.... my filing system isn't the best tho.
