No pics, but it's a 100% mint 1995 Cadillac Sedan Deville. I mean like seriously showroom new. Less than 40k miles. Little old lady bought it brand new, she died in 1998 when her son inherited it. He just passed away this summer - it's spent much of the last 17 years in their garage, with an occasional short drive every month or so during nice weather. He would never sell it, but his widow wants it gone.
She said $5k, but understands it may not be worth near that. KBB shows $2500 private-party in excellent condition, but I know it's also not the most accurate. The only cars with comparably low miles on eBay in the completed/sold listings are a couple years newer - their engine covers all say "Northstar" while hers does not. The sold ones range from $2000-$6000, so it's a pretty large margin, and I imagine location is a strong factor on value.
Was 1995 one of the problematic years for Cadillac V8s?
$2,500 sounds fair to me. It's a 20 year old car, weather it is in good condition or not.
Does the engine look like this? 4.9 L26
In reply to N Sperlo:
Bingo!
EDIT: And it's at least as clean as the one in that pic.

4.9 good, northstar bad.
She's probably high, but its hard to comp it. It's not going to command a premium like a fleetwood would in similar condition

That's good to know on the engine.
I can't help but look at Cadillacs 20-year older than this and where their value is today, and wonder if a truly mint mid-90's example like this would be good to buy and hang onto for a while? Yeah, it's easy to say how this car is nothing compared to the 70's classics...but people have been saying the malaise-era cars would never be worth money & look at their value today. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to do that...though if the price gets too cheap to pass up I'd drive the wheels off it!
