I have a fair amount of niche content, a decent domain name and server and an ugly, poorly functioning test site (works, it's just ugly and clunky). Would like to offer a mix of original content and curated content around the niche topic and need some help on not making the site the burden. test site is satisfy my patient. I can code html if I have to, but it's not how I want to spend my time. Ideas on the cheap? It needs lighter colors, integration of happy hospital patients, easy functionality to upload original content or direct to curated content. Currently, every new article takes a rash of coding to get things linked and working.

I like Wordpress. When vulnerabilities appear, they patch quickly. They have a strong community. It's extensible through plugins and themes. There are mobile apps. Many providers offer hosted Wordpress, so you don't have to do the maintenance yourself.

I'm not sure what "integration of happy hospital patients" means, but other than that it sounds like Wordpress is a good option.

Wordpress should be your first option, especially if you want to add a lot of text over time.

WIX.com is a pretty decent paid option, allowing for a blog, storefront, etc. Easy drag and drop interface, lots of templates.

You'll need to log in to post.
