Isn't Xp no longer supported by microsoft?
Support for XP ends in early April, unless you're a Big Bad Company and pay MS a fair chunk of change for extended support.
At this point I would not recommend XP to anybody for a new or reinstall; its architecture makes it much less secure than the later MS OSs. You're better off with 7 or 8.
