Judy Tenuta came to mind before I clicked on this post and look it was the first. But the song and the singer that aways comes to mind is Franky Yankovic " She to fat for me". In my youth it was ALWAYS played at any of my families weddings I went to and is stuck in my head. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XvzTHJanV5c
Off the top of my head, Jenny Conlee of Decemberists for this number

Gus Polinski; Polka King of the Midwest
lest we not forget...and the Kenosha Kickers!
Preceded by Stan & Yosh Shmenge
Apparently the Shmenge Brothers were inspired by Canada's own Polka king, 3 time Grammy award winner Walter Ostenak. He's a longtime staple of our Octoberfest celebrations here in Kitchener.
This is a thing local to Minnesota, the Chmielewski Funtime Band. The Chmielewski family has had a polka band in one form or another for something like 140 years. Back in the 1960s and 1970s they had a campy TV show that ran on Sunday afternoons that was kind of like Lawrence Welk, with the audience dancing in front of the camera. Florian Chmielewski (the guy on the left in the picture below) is the current leader and is in several music halls of fame.
I came in to say John Linnell, but I don't mean to slight Flaco Jimenez.

El Rey del accordian - Flaco Jimenez
Hell yeah. Flaco Jimenez is a dang legend, no doubt about it. But I'm going with Josh Baca of Los Texmaniacs today. And probably most of tomorrow, for that matter.
You know what, I can't walk away like that. We brought up Flaco's name, we might as well give the man a little airtime.
