My local Ace is great and seems to have a lot of blanks since they cut 12 key for me and had all the blanks :)

Yep, our local Lock and Key store shut down recently too, now I only know of one in our area but they are a good one, been there for 80 years or so already. They can also program the keys and fobs for new cars, and they're way cheaper than getting one from the dealer. But they're clear on the other side of town.......
I had a rental car in Fla that I got in Orlando - I was now on Marathon in the Keys and somehow lost the key to the rental car. Mobil locksmith came and unlocked it so we could make sure I hadn't locked it in the trunk or anything. Since it was a chipped key it cost $300 to have new ones made. I found the original an hour after he left, in the sand right where I had been sitting earlier. If I had been in Orlando still they would have either brought over another car or sent the locksmith out - my choice. Since I was several hundred miles away they were no help at all.
