In the 1980s, I used to drive by JCs place in Plains heading home to Montgomery from Americus. The Secret Service would arrest you if you stopped at the house to look. I guess they weren't into hookers back then.
BTW...my Sunday treacher at one time was Labelle Lance, Bert Lance's wife. Bert was one of JC's troubled cabinet members.

I'm not really sure how much the Secret Service is into hookers! Lol!
Thank you for your condolences.
I've spent quite a few Sundays with Mr. Carter as my Sunday School teacher.
you must not remember the E36 M3 hitting the fan about the SS and hookers in South America sometime this past yr
My grandfather was a congressman for a portion of Carter's term in office. Said Carter was one of the smartest presidents we've had, but did not know how to be a politician at all.

Walked right into that ditten I?
Just got back from a small town funeral myself, it was for one of my cousins (pancreatic cancer is a terrible thing.) No famous people there as such, but he was one of, if not the most accomplished bird watchers / nature photographers in the state. As a result it was an interesting crowd - half the attendance was family, the other half were birders and naturists.
Of course, since it was a Midwest Lutheran funeral, there was a little lunch at the church afterwards.
