You need an invite? I must have been doing it wrong!

I'd watch the hell outta the GRM channel though.

Here's an idea for a show: Operation Godzilla Killer. It's a gameshow where teams try to build a car that will beat a GT-R around three random tracks for under $30k.

Think some sponsorship will be needed first...Nissan might do it, up until the first success

A series on the deltawing would be cool. It would be a great mix of informative television and spectacular wrecks.

Seriously though, any mini-series following the deltawing, Toyota's efforts to get back into WEC racing, Audi, etc. development would be really cool.

Nope, I was saying anyone here who wanted access needs an invite.

It's a private site.

If you were going to make a serious cable network out of it, then the first thing to do obviously is get the US broadcast rights to F1 and WRC. Then for primetime have a show similar to american pickers that involved buying cars and parts only, and maybe a show that featured different builds from around the internet. There are some other ideas posted that would make good primetime fodder, along with a weekly motorsports news show.

From Midnight - 6AM have "metal for gearheads" music videos hosted by David S. Wallens.

6AM -10AM have a sportscenter-esque show that featured motorsports/automotive news only. For daytime programing just purchase the syndication rights to some shows like Gearz or two guys and run them for filler along with replays for F1 and WRC.

Now, back in reality, we are talking about a web based channel. In that case we are talking 3-4 "shows" a week. There are a lot of good ideas for that type of stuff already posted. The good news with web based content, is no need to worry ratings vs other shows as they are all available 24/7.

uh... uh.... I want this distinction... I'll bring you all sorts of unusual... and distinct things...

Like this....

You could also run a "GRM for sale" sub channel... 5 min clips of cars for sale... pics, video, whatever... to help pay the bills.

I'd also be going to SEMA and see if you can pry a few million from them to be a preferential advertiser

This is actually a really good idea. I'd pay money to watch it. You might have to start small, but you could do it all online.

The "Get off My Lawn" needs to be renamed to "Get That Off The Lawn." That's the show geared to helping women cope with living with a GRM man.

There is much win in this thread.

For filler, I would suggest what Speedvision did when they first hit the air- Since they had sold next to no advertising, they ran old British car commercials. As a matter of fact, I think the original speedvisions deal was very close to perfect, other than the boat stuff, but thats just me.

Another show idea. Only in america meets Lucas oil on the edge, ala wreckreation nation. One man goes around the country to compete in off the wall motorsports, and interviews the crazies that love them.

Picking up where Adrian left off..

1:00am "The Inbetweeners": They were cool. They were sometimes rare. But in the last few years before they became antiques, they were just old cars clinging to life. FGC bitches about NLA parts and reposts Hammond's Top Gear piece about the VW Corrado, Tim Suddard suggests that if you can find a stock Nissan S13 or Honda CRX you should BUY IT NOW!!!, and Andy Reid reminds you that the BMW E9 was in the same damn place thirty years ago.

1:30am "Don't Call the Orkin Army": Pest control/removal from long-term storage or abandoned cars. Hosts Dr.Boost and Giant Purple Snorklewacker show you non-poisonous (i.e., "violent") and creative low budget methods of dispatching unwanted creatures from your cars/homes.

2:00am "Drunk Driving World Championship": All the updates from GRM's GT5 and Forza Motorsport 4 communities.

2:30am Movie: "My Name Isn't Tommy Anymore". (animated, Japan, 2011). A young man earns his passage to adulthood by tracking down the people still using the honorific term "chan" (child) for him, killing them, and using amateur radio frequencies to have his family retrieve & bury the corpses under a concrete structure in the back yard of his family's ancestral home.

4:30am "Yo! GRM wRaps!": The art of vinyl wrapping an automobile, as opposed to painting it.

5:00am: Bring a Trailer informercial.

Depends on the ratings. Get a pilot ep together, we'll take a look if the show in that slot dies.
