desktop laser engraving machine for $79.99!
Bought one for work. Lasted about 2 hours. There is a reason the demo shows time lapse cause it takes forever to do anything. While the 3D printers I have bought have all pretty much paid for themselves on day one, this thing has about 10 hours of one of my tech's time and a programmer to try to get it to do something useful. Vendor is a step below the guy who sells watches out of a trench-coat.
Other than that, it is a great tool.
I went to a guy that works out of his basement with a larger one of those. He engraves trophies and such, he could scan a photo and duplicate it on any color flat stock. He made an ID plate for my glider for $20. Nice work, he does those clear Lucite trophies, all kinds of stuff. I don't know how he did it, but he's dialed into the LPGA circuit and makes trophies and placards for them.
Must be something to it, it's a nice three bedroom home, he's got a nice car and this is his only income.
