Once you get to the first three letters, there are more available unique 2-letter pairings that could finish the word off than there are remaining turns. So what's the strategy more advanced than just working through the options and merely hoping to chance upon the right one in the next 3 tries?

the only thing i can think of for that situation is to see if you can come up with a word that uses as many representatives from the possible endings as can be assembled into a single word. You burn a try but it narrows things down.
But I am no Wordle ace.

I've generally considered that the 'brute force' approach, and have used it when recognizing the problem soon enough. But I don't feel like I've seen it show up often when others succeed in similar situations, which is part of what makes me wonder if there is a more elegant method people are employing too.
In reply to Driven5 :
My method is just guess and hope I get lucky. I also try to burn through as many common consonants early so it narrows it down some. On this one I had eliminated enough letters that on the fourth guess there were only two options (that I can think of).
