Aussie said I should start posting again. MattB says the same. Tom let me call him "Tommy" three times in a row one night without *ever* reminding me that he's not a kid anymore. I think he actually let me get away with it because I was talking about the thread where he was rebuilding the "Twin I-Beam stuff on the van. We laughed about it for half a minute, before he had to go do something like feed & water the Wreck Racing folks or something. And nothing against the GT guys..The Mitty's a party, not the Challenge. And it's in *Atlanta*, fer cryin' out loud. They *should* be here. ;)
I've been reading the forum pretty much every day (lurker, lurker, sure beserker). Loved it that mazdeuce rebuilt the AMG engine, that Pete did all that work to the crazy brown C4, and inspired a couple of others to find one. Egad, they're so cheap now that it makes sense. One thing around here that I wish had had a better response was that Corspervita finally got his damn Jalpa running. *That* should have had a more public response.
I just quit posting up because since I'm not really wrenching on anything anymore. I felt like a poseur when I stopped doing it. Don't even do my own oil changes anymore, the plug and the filter on the RSX are between the front & the firewall, and it just takes me too long to scoot away from underneath it if a jackstand creaks. I guess I got "old" sooner than I thought I would. :D
Anyway, great Mitty this year. I dig it when it's about a marque with Club Racing success, rather than 'big pro stuff'.
