Just because he said there wasn't a message doesn't mean there wasn't one.

I used to listen to the Beatles White Album backwards and I heard the devil speaking and they said that didn't happen either.

I know the chicken plant you are talking about. Same name as a previous governor. The town you are talking about is a E36 M3hole compared to your town. Having illegals there is the least of their problems.

Worst part is the ones here legally are turning to politics to get more and more illegals here and in that way making more money for Mexico. I like to help people and have Mexican co workers that are good people( here legally too), but this is getting ridiculous.

It brings in over $20 billion per year in direct revenues transferred from illegal workers in the US to their families in Mexico. That's Mexico's second largest income source (oil exports are #1). Plus, Mexico doesn't have to pay for the education or medical costs of those workers or their children. It's a pretty good deal for Mexico.

tr00f. Mexico is a very poor country, they don't really have the resources we do up here (no that doesn't make what's happening right) so yeah it's a helluva deal for them.

Says the guy from Woodstock? Not sure how long you've been here, but Canton has been berkeleying destroyed by Mexicans in the last 20 years. My FIL's house was worth twice what it is now before the scourge moved in. Neighborhood used to be old & white. Looks like a berkeleying 3rd world country now. Every house has chickens & goats & E36 M3, complete with houses "built" with stolen build site garbage. It's disgusting.

I've met quite a few Mexicans in my line of work. Honestly, a lot of them are no different from me: they work hard, keep their noses clean and otherwise are good citizens. Hell, one of my best friends in high school (and a fellow dirt bike nut) had a Mexican dad and a British mother, both immigrants to this country and here legally. (His older sister was HOT too... heh heh heh ) But those are the legals, the illegals are another story entirely. Go out to Batesburg/Leesville, where my mom's family is from, and a lot of it now looks like poop describes. Damn sure wasn't like that 20 years ago.

Hope that geography lesson wasn't intended for me. I'm pretty well up on the locations of countries. It is not unique to Mexico, and the situation you and I described of sending money south is widespread in Central and South America

If that is the case. Why wouldn't you send your kids to a Canadian college or University.. For that matter, why wouldn't you yourself go to one??? You are never too old to learn..

You say you have 4 borders... What are the other 2????

What are we doing nothing, to stop Canadians from taking U.S. jobs?

I assume you mean to say "Why are we doing nothing, to stop Canadians from taking U.S. jobs"...

I crossed the border to the U.S. yesterday, I got a job at Walmart as a greeter, and at Hooters as a cook. All I had to do as a Canadian was bring them my resume for these American jobs.. Yes people..... It is that simple!!!!

The American guy who fixes computer network where I work, in Canada has no hassles ether. He came to Canada and dropped off a resume.. The next day he was working in Canada!! Simple as that!! No hassle, no government red tape nothing!!!!

Sarcasm intended..

I love Canadians don't like the all the cold they ship to us every year. Canadians are welcome in Texas leave your cold at home! The USA can not grow if we pay everyone what they are worth. Its just the ugly truth. Sarcasm from time to time is a grate thing.

Sorry, I disagree. More $ in people's pockets = more discretionary and non-discretionary spending, thus boosting the economy.

The problem is that for people here in the States to be able to afford the goods we can produce better than the rest of the planet and also be able to pat decent wages the price of those goods has to go up. When someone in another country does the same job for basically nothing that puts our workforce in a bad spot.

You know I'm not sure you're right. Extreme wealth concentration is clearly better for the stock market and therefore at least looks better "on paper," but I see that as a problem with the system.

My sister got broadsided by a drunk Illegal at 11:00 in the morning. Never even touched the brakes as he ran the red light. Bent her early-90s Suburban in half like a croissant. Didn't do her any good either. Of course he's completely uninsured and has a net worth of $4.99. She took it all on the chin and not a damn thing happened to him.

My Mom had a similar incident around Salinas, CA about 20 years ago. Driving home from swim lessons (well, "take your baby in the water" would be more accurate...) with my brother in the rain, a station wagon full of illegals ran a stoplight and she broadsided the car with our Grand Caravan. Banged her up a good bit, thankfully in his car seat my brother likely didn't even notice the impact, but it cracked the firewall and totaled the van out.

Driver of the station wagon had no license or insurance- and there were well more in the car than there were seat-belts for, with parents just holding children on their laps (and likely not all of those with belts available using them...), so there were a good number of more injuries in the wagon. Officer on the scene a) didn't make any official note of the lack of license and insurance and b) took the word of the several people in the car claiming they had the green over that of my Mom who also said she had a green light leading to more of a murky picture of what had happened. I was far more inclined to believe my Mom, given how ridiculously cautious of a driver she has always been (that and, well, she's my Mom...), and she'd have been even more cautious in the bad weather.

Passengers in the station wagon sued my parents' insurance for their medical expenses, and instead of rolling over and settling our insurer (USAA) actually fought them over it, resulting in my Mom having to fly back to the States to testify at the trial since my Dad was deployed back to Germany over the course of the trial. Don't remember ever hearing what happened with the trial in the end, unfortunately.
