As a bonus, you get motorcycles too. I REALLY wonder what the 1935 BMW went for.
Adding a zero to those prices gets you pretty darn close to "adjusted for inflation" according to the CPI.

$2950 for a 10 year old Chebby actually sounds high when you consider how long cars lasted back then.
Cars wore out quickly - 100,000 miles was aspirational in many cases. In '65 my dad bought a running, driving 10 year old Mercury for $50 for my mom.

I'm looking at the addresses to see what is there now. I drive by all these locations weekly.
Barney's is still around but was sold a couple years ago and is called Rockstar Powersports now. Same location though.
O'Brien's had the cars... 65 merc comet special, 65 falcon fastback coupe....

I would expect that from an uneducated Ford guy but the real deal was Cadillac City. I paid $1500 for my 60 Cadillac Flattop back in 2004? I believe. Not much difference in price from the $1550 there.

Walker Ford is still around but certainly not on Gulf Bvld in Treasure Island anymore. Cool stuff. Our place in Clearwater was built in 66 so interesting to see a little of what it was like back then.
