Im choosing between these two phones with a Verizon plan. I h8ave had LG phones from the start and am happy with them. I DO NOT use internet or any song playing capabilities so i dont care about that.
Things i do use it for: - calls - texts - camera
I like that the Octane has a bigger screen then the Casio.
Anyone have either and have any input?
I had a G'Zone for a few years. Durable? yes. I once dropped it 20 feet onto concrete and the sucker was still ringing. Sound quality was crap though. Something to do with it being waterproof. If you can put up with constantly asking folks to repeat themselves it will probably last forever.
The page you linked also mentions poor sound quality so I see they haven't improved that with the new versions.

octane if you do alot of texting. G'zone if you you tend to abuse it and not text alot.
