My list would be really long. The truth is I learn so much from this whole community, I absolutely can't single out people.
I've earned favors, adventures, business partners and friends here. There is not replacing the value of this community to me.
I started to make a list but all y'all motherberkeleyers have helped me out in some way over the years! <3
Truth. I started sifting through my old threads and my list is WAY too long to post.
All of you are amazeballs.
MKE deserves a shout-out for his inspiring, pants-on-the-head-crazy Ferrari skills.
SVRex for his construction knowledge and Wally for making me laugh so hard I start coughing.
I've only met a few in person, but everyone here is good people. Even when we disagree.

Agree 99%. Definitely good people. It'd be 100% but I never met anyone in person.
..Almost got to meet Michael (Dusterb'd) until I broke my commitment on his friend's Subaru - which he handled with amazing kindness.
I also swear I want to request a visit to Pat's shop when I go visit my folks. My wife wouldn't understand at all but my dad sure would.
Frenchyd has forgotten more about Jags than most of us will ever know and is always willing to share his knowledge.
I think the list is building up nicely, so the next folks I'd add, if it's not not too brown-nosey, is the GRM staff. They may be tasked with running the asylum, but they're delightfully close to just being fellow inmates, if particularly well informed ones.
All of you are jerks because borderline every time I visit this site I also end up buying tools or lighting or some sort of rare grease that makes my tools feel better or my japanese door seals plumper.

Two years ago when I was going through my divorce, an Anonymous GRMer mailed me a Lego Speed Champions Mustang with a heartfelt letter. It really helped me through my tough time and I have appreciated it ever since. Thank you to whoever you are.
I can't stress how great this forum on a whole has been over the years. There have been so many of you that have been helpful over the years to me, and I've had the pleasure of meeting a lot of you in person when I was going to the Challenge on a regular basis. I'm going to single out three members here:
-Andrew Nelson (and the entire Nelson clan): I've had a lot of interaction with Andrew over the years. He is one of the most knowledgeable racers and fabricators I have ever met. I've been to his compound a couple times on the long trek to Florida during Challenge week, and he's even met up with some of us New England GRM'ers when he's up this way for work. Watching the Nelsons do their thing up close at the Challenge is something to behold.
-Wally: Everyone on here knows Wally. He's the man! When my wife was sick back in 2018, I made a post about it on here. Wally reached out to me immediately and we talked for a while about how he understood what I was going through, having dealt with similar issues with his own wife. It was just what I needed at the time, and it helped me get perspective and clear my head to deal with her path to recovery. I will never forget that kind gesture.
-David S. Wallens: This one is sort of cheating because he's a staffer, and he may not know this, but he helped me overcome a huge fear I had. I met David at the $2010 Challenge, in the middle of the night in the hotel parking lot. My team decided 11PM would be a great time to toss a turbo on a Jeep Cherokee, and as we were wrenching, people started gathering around. Next thing I know, there are magazine staffers in the crowd. I thought we were going to get yelled at! Nope, they were there to hang out and see what was going on. David and I started talking, and we've been talking ever since. A few years later, I got it in my head that I wanted to start writing about cars myself. I had an open invitation to submit work to a car blog, but I was afraid to actually do it. I couldn't pull the trigger on fear of rejection. At the Challenge, we started talking like we usually did, and the topic of writing came up. He told me to go for it and how to approach submitting the work, and I was able to start my "side gig" as a writer. I even got to do some work for GRM a few years after that, which still blows my mind to this day.
There's not a better place on the internet for car people of all kinds to hang out. Keep on doing your thing, GRM'ers.

I'd like to nominate the Mod Squad for keeping this train on the tracks most of the time. Additionally, since I've run into EastCoastMojo a a concert before, I'll say she has the best taste in music out of all you guys.
