Reminds me a bit of those cash for clunker videos where they intentionally had to destroy the engines.
...I can't watch that video. Every instinct is saying NO DON'T GET WATER IN THE OIL DRAIN THAT WILL BERK UP THE FURNACE STOP DOING THAT
That was impressive. Stupid impressive. Just stupid really. Can someone go revoke that person's license, I don't want them sharing our roads.
one of my friends did something similar- but it was an extra 10 quarts of oil in his Aurora instead of water. the dipstick was broke and it leaked oil from both valve cover gaskets, so he just dumped in a couple of quarts every few days... it got to the point where it didn't have any power, so he asked me to change the oil and look at it.. when i took the drain plug out, the oil shot straight out and i had to put it back in and move the drain pan back 4 feet to catch it... then i needed 2 more drain pans to catch all of it.. it ran a lot better when i filled it back up with the proper amount of oil..
