I have several still shots of people turning the thing on, a race made up of a still every 5 seconds, a race where the battery went dead just as it got exciting, and one full race.
I hope they have improved the menu/interface on the newer ones. Mine sits in a bag because I can't be bothered.

I do wish they were as user friendly as the much cheaper Chinese versions.
I've finally gotten familiar with mine and have used it a few times successfully.
I'll never buy another GoPro product. For all the hype, they are a piss poor design. The interface must have been designed by a 3 yo.

And yeah GoPros are a one-trick pony, and that trick is durability.
I have a video of my GoPro falling off of a car with very rough paint (and I think it wasn't stuck down properly regardless. It tumbled for a loooooong time.
Dunno, using the phone app, I have zero interface problems with mine. Except when I was starter, and my daughter drove out of wifi range before I could turn it off after her run, so I have 10 minutes of video of her sitting in grid.
