No one can replace Stella, but all this crying and moping around has to stop. (I'm trying). Trish was advised to look on Pet Finder, but their reviews weren't good, 3 month time lag? She found another site and found Kristoff, soon to be someone else, I Iike Spot but she poo-pooed that one. Harley, nope, no better way to get beat up.
Mom is an AKC Chihuahua show dog, Dad is an AKC stud Mini Dachshund; he is the result of a tequila filled hot summer night. It happens. All up he won't be but 9 or so pounds.
Thoughts.
I prefer dogs with a bit more of an athletic build and "regal" bearing, but dang, he is cute. The ladies are gonna fuss over him. How 'bout "Romeo?"
Everybody needs a theme for their animals. Mine are all named after WW2 revolutionaries that fought against the axis, and the occasional Norse god.
He looks like a Balder to me.

I just get so tired of the same names over and over. As I mentioned in the last thread on the subject, we recently had five Bellas in the office at the same time.
Max, Sadie, Buddy, Harley, Maggie....
What's funny, is that the names that you would think are really common are actually now very rare. I've almost never seen a dog named Spot, and I've never seen one named Fido, which seems to me to be an excellent name for a dog due to it's meaning.
The name Fido comes from the Latin meaning “to trust or confide in.” In short “I am faithful.” Not surprisingly, Abraham Lincoln named his dog Fido around 5 years before he became President.

Name him Fido, but spell it Phydeaux to make it a bit more classy.
