In reply to NY Nick :
This is going to 914Driver. I'm heading to Philly to pick up something and this was not to far out of the way.
To follow Stampie's post, the Metropolitan made it home.
Headed north out of Philly, huge thunderstorms in the Poconos, frightening; then strong crosswinds and hail all the way to Cooperstown. Made for a long day. One day we'll have to sit down over beers and explain to me the need for flashers on at night in bad conditions. EVERYONE is in the same boat, EVERYONE sees your car, why kill my my night vision?
But I degress: Almost 4 hours to load the Nash only with Stampie's help, couldn't have done it without you! Got home around 10:30pm, this morning I started unloading, crap - two hours later I run the trailer back to U-Haul. So far this car is uphill at every turn, someday it will become fun.
Edit: Surprise Surpprise! Nothing fell off!
Which one of you was this?
Yes, that is 2 cars on probably a 20 foot gooseneck. The rear was some flavor of Mercury/Lincoln/land yatch with no wheels and hanging off the back, and the SUV in front was hanging off the right side of the trailer so that the front left wheel could rest on the very edge of the tapered gooseneck
So this is a new one for me.
I was driving home from Nationals and someone messaged me a picture of my car being towed down the highway. They saw the car on the Bucky Lasek YouTube video, followed me in Instagram, and their daughter had seen the car took a picture and send it to them asking about it and he recognized it and sent it to me.
