FedEx shows an ETA of 10:10 a.m. to 2:10 p.m.

It’s currently 12:49 p.m.

What are we thinking?

It's either going to be 2:05 p.m., or rescheduled to tomorrow 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

No in-between.

I don't get a lot through FedEx, so I don't know how accurate or reliable they are with ETA estimates... but I'll go with "late, but some time today."

What's the last scan in the tracking? If it's "out for delivery", it'll show up today. If not, it won't.

If you don't look up that information, it's like playing the "why is my MIL on?" game and not plugging in an OBD-II scanner.

Tomorrow, if they actually deliver it to your doorstep and not 4 houses down the block like they did with my last FedEx shipment.

I think the chances of it arriving today are exactly inversely proportional to your need and desire for the thing.

I don’t need it today, but it’s now scheduled for tomorrow morning.

The best part is when you get the delivered email and you pull up the photo of it delivered to a door you don't recognize and when you email fed ex, they ignore you and you have to get a refund from the seller and buy it again. Yes, that happened to me. It's awesome.

The last delivery I had from FedEx was left on the next street over, by a locked gate, in the dirt by the side of the road.  The only way I found it was I recognized the "No Turn Around" sign the driver got in the delivery picture.

UPS can find our house.  USPS can find our house.  Hell, even OnTrack can find our house (and I'm not sure they execute the an escape from a paper sack with instructions written on the inside).

FedEx seems to be 60/40 on a good day.

They shut down the biggest USPS facility in our area a couple months ago for no apparent reason. So now packages arrive days late, or not at all.

Anytime I see my package is "moving through the network" I know it's code for they lost the thing and will find it in a week if I'm lucky.

EDIT: not sure if this actually works, but the last few times (including the current package that is delayed) I would put my phone # and email and request updates for everything step, and then magically the package would appear in the system and be out for delivery today...

FedEx will show up tomorrow and then drop it off at the neighbor's house down the street just in time for them to head out on vacation for a month.

You may never see it.

I will say today. After 3PM.

Side bet: I ordered new tires for the truck from Tire Rack on Tuesday (5/21), eta at installer Friday (5/24). I need them installed by Friday evening for a camping trip this weekend. FedEx ground delivery.

Spent 30 hours being processed in the warehouse 500 miles away, now delivery eta is Friday 12:00AM. Left the facility this morning at 9:41.

Reminds me of the book, "Rush to the Bathroom" by Willie Makit and Betty Dont.

Yup, it’s a piece of art. See also: We have a ton of cameras on display here in the house.

Also, I went with an earlier breech mount lens to get that silver ring as it’s more period-correct for that body.

I know, right? I haven’t looked up the exact year, to be honest. (Not sure if that info is out there.)

According to Canon, this particular lens came out in March 1973. This version of the F-1 came out in September 1976 although it’s a mild update to the initial 1971 release
