I thought I lived in the E36 M3 part of town. Thanks for the up beat news.

Thankfully around here, the meth heads seem to blow themselves up or get caught before they have a chance to do much crime (still on the other side of the river from here).

The north side of Tulsa is where 90+% of the nasty stuff goes on.................it's predominantly one culture. I'll leave at it that.

E36 M3 happens everywhere. Be vigilant, be smart.

And like Sperlo said, own weapons, know how to use them when needed, and repeat "I was in fear for my life." (And I'd add: "I don't want to talk to you. I want to talk to my lawyer now.")

Just on the edge of the City of St. Louis, there is a street that has a 'hood full of houses worth 1,000,000+ and the 'hood across the street has busted up homes that would be impressive to go for 1,000. Things are funny like that.

Yep, in fact the A/C in this house had been ripped open for the copper before I bought it. But at least there is no gang activity; in the other 'hood where I had made an offer oh yes there was. That was one of those planned developments, it was absolutely beautiful, big fountain att the traffic circle coming in, a big lake with $1,000,000 houses with private docks, really nice. And one end absolutely infested with gang activity. The house I was looking at was on the other end, but no matter; that's a little too close for comfort.

This n'hood is full of retirees. I like that; it feels good to be surrounded by a bunch of Gladys Kravitzes. The problem areas are on the other side of the Interstate.

His argument had a lot of merit - he just had a little trouble communicating his message without murdering innocent people. He probably was a pretty good neighbor though - quiet, nature loving, only went to the post office every now and again...

Good to live in the mountains. I spent my formative years in South Florida. Still have lots of friends/family down there. I refuse to visit. E36 M3 like this doesn't happen in my 'hood, and it's not because people have half-million dollar homes and college educations.

Around here, the home invasions are just another phrase to describe druggies ripping off each other(after someone has been over to visit to confirm what is in the house). However I do have a short barrel 12ga under the bed and AK hanging on hooks above the closet door. I hope to never use them but see way too many bad things in my day job and know that if some druggie hits my front door, a dog or a small handgun wont slow him down.

No gang activity in the Charleston area? Ummmm

Tons of stuff going down at my apartment complex, which is a huge one with like 400+ units. A couple months ago, I left at 7 to give my GF a ride to class, and the car got searched on the way out, and then when I got back I had to hang around until almost 11 before SWAT was done clearing the place out and catching some shooting suspects. Apparently they blasted some dude who was buying drugs from them. Only cool part was getting to shoot the E36 with the local news crews and photogs.

Actually, I can think of one neighborhood in the middle of my city that has very low crime and vacant buildings are never broken into... I just... can't figure it out. cough cough

In reply to rotard:

I've moved inland to Columbia. Yeah, there is a good bit of gang activity in Charleston, mostly in The Neck. There's a lot less of that up here and it's mostly on the other side of I-26 from my 'hood (which is very close to Lake Murray), or up in the Northeast area.
