Definitely a ton of right wing craziness over tones on the board. Not the management but it's pretty easy to be run off by the members if you don't agree with their views.
And that's all I got.
Hmm, I've always thought it the opposite way. Lock it.
You ain't been around long enough.
I've been around long enough to recognize the craziness and hypocrisy from both sides.
I also see that at least one of us is willing to admit it.

I admit to nothing. Except that I can be a total shiny happy person to people when I disagree with them.

I remember the old boards. I remember when you had a different handle. I also remember getting lambasted for three pages because I tried to make a funny in one of the anti religion thread that always seem to pop up a couple times a year.
I guess it's all in your perspective.

I like to refer to all politicians as useless, but occasionally producing "Useful Side-Effects"
I conservatively estimate that liberals liberally outnumber conservatives on this board, by a nearly 2-to-1 margin. It often seems even more lopsided than that because liberals tend to be more shrill and annoying in trying to get their misguided views across. None of those espousing conservative viewpoints are ever rude or obnoxious. This from an impartial observer that allies with neither side.

Strange and I would say the exact opposite.
Must be fair and balanced then.

....I have this little button that magically makes the thread unavailable. It even has a cute little padlock logo and everything. Its really nifty!
I don't think it's locked...
I'm just guessing, I, uh, guess.
Yeah, if it was locked it doesn't seem like you'd still be able to post.
Maybe it slipped through the cracks?

Cool, in AFTER the lock but still appearing.
I'd say Liberals outnumber Conservatives 2:1, but hte Conservatives cry loud enough to make it feel like they are in the majority.
15 years ago Corner Carvers was a great car geek board, but the threads with titles like "Shut up you whiny liberal berkeleytards and your number one fan George W Bush" and "Well a Nobel peace prize is now not fit for me to wipe my E36 M3ty ass on" They may not be exact, but if someone looks you'll find them. I am dismayed with the number of Political and gun and religious threads popping up here in the last couple of years, but then I damn well go and post in them.
Whinny Volvo driving latte sipping NPR listening liberal off to kick himself in the ass.
P.S. for News +1'd NPR which includes the BBC, we used to get the Washington Post Weekly until they stopped it too.

A mix of NPR, news aggregation sites (mostly Google news), various tech oriented blogs, and then top it off with The Daily Show/Colbert Report to have a good laugh about all of it.

all this talk of locking and no one mentions the benefit of having fewer turns lock to lock?
We have a local station that just reads the Wall Street Journal and the Times Picayune. That's it. All day.
kinda cool

Just wondering what the purpose of this thread was. Personal curiosity? Just to stir up some E36 M3? Or some broader reason?
I do like to listen to NPR however in the morning they put me to sleep and when I get off work there already playing jazz.

I think it started with good intentions until he trolled people for not reading his OP to the letter and instead chiming in(they were already chiming in before he had everything listed as well)
At least, thats the cliff notes
Oh, sorry. Somebody called and I got sidetracked.
I think this thread is fine now.
