Just got back from Germany, where I visited the Porsche Museum. It was like meeting some of the heros of my childhood. The private tour was great because we could get a look inside many of the cars. I put some highlights here (Photo Album) if anyone is interested. The best part was blasting up the Autobahm in a 2014 Panamera GTS to get the the museum. Other rental cars driven were a BMW 530D Wagon and a Jaguar XF 3.0 AWD. They had the new F-Type as well, but not a single Ford Taurus. Why do I not live there?!?!

How exactly does one arrange that?

That's awesome. My friend and his fiancee were just in Germany and went there. I'm looking forward to his pictures. Im trying to convince mine that Germany would make an awesome honey moon, I think I'm making ground on the idea.

Even a non-car-lover would like that place. It's architecturally beautiful, and there's a really great little cafe with wonderful coffee.
We were really lucky to visit it after hours. I sat in several of my favourites and took over 1500 photos.
It is - I just went there earlier in the month on my quick trip to see family in Germany.
I still haven't managed to make it there...

Very nice! I hit the Mercedes museum, but didn't make it to Porsche. I requested a BMW1 for the rental, but ended up in a Ford kujo or something (basically the current gen escape)
