One of my "peruvian apple cacti" has some absolutely MASSIVE fruit. Got to pick the first one today as it finally started to split open. We have grown some larger ones but these are probably twice as big as the previous largest one.
Ah, tree roots. I've lived in this house since 1986. I bought a small roto rooter in about 1988. It was an excellent investment.

Oh man, I feel your pain! We've been surprised on several mornings after a big rain with a basement full of water. Twice it got so high to take out the freezer and food within.
Rather than pay "The Toilet Jockey" yet another $300 if he can fit me in, I bought one and will try to remember to do it every 3 months. This costs 2 visits.
