That's a big spring you've got on your impact. How'd it work? I tried using an extension on my 3/8" 150ft/lb impact once and it made a noticeable difference in the break away torque.

Wasn't me. Apparently it was sufficient to remove bellhousing bolts on the 3rd gen Tacoma getting a new clutch. But I had the same thought.
Wait - how does that work, anyway? Makes no sense to me, but I've witnessed that with an extension my impact cannot take off a lug nut

Gotta remember, everything is a spring. For a quick thought, think of a torsion spring front end for a Dodge.
As you apply torque the shaft will twist according to the angular form of Hooke's Law, Torque = -spring_coefficient*angle_of_twist.
The more torque, the more twist until you exceed the strength of the shaft and snap it.
The other part of the problem is how impacts work. They twist for a fraction of a second until the system let's the hammer skip and you get another turn of the chuck. That fraction of a second let's the shaft untwist.
Due to all of this, you can actually tune an extension to only allow so much torque to be transmitted. That's how you get torque sticks.
Edit: how an impact works. Skip to roughly 2 minutes in to see.
on my way back from a big yard clear out by Indy (no Mercedes for me ... boooo) car on fire along the road and no one was stopping. Sorry, no pictures while it was on fire because I was grabbing Chick-fil-A cups of dirty ditch water to douse it.

I'll second the bell housing fasteners.
I've assembled ones that long using a series of 6" and 12" standard extensions and wobble drive extensions for bell housing bolts.
The 1/2" drive Milwaukee had enough torque to let me remove the upper bolts on the Ram bell housing going over the top of the 46RE from back by the OD housing. The flex from the sections allowed it to make an arc over the trans.
You folks of a special age where you get passed around among doctors like a low self esteemed co-ed may recognize this one.
I saw a video that said to boil mushrooms, rather than sauté them. It works. Just as much flavor and they remain moister.
I have 5 brothers and 1 sister. Dad passed a few years ago of Alzheimers, Mom went last year; her favorite flower was a yellow tulip. On her birthday last September my brother Jack sent all of us and all of our kids a box with 9 tulip bulbs inside.
On my last day, two of the nice young ladies I work with gave me this hand made card.
Not sure if I'll post the thoughtful farewell inside
I'm reading the "Ferrari" bio by Brock Yates. Vittorio Jano, the great engine guy, when lured from Fiat to join Alfa Romeo in the twenties, lived in Turin. I spent a lot of time in Turin when I was a working stiff, so I looked up the address where he lived that was given in the book. Turned out that it was just a few blocks away from the hotel where I always stayed. I probably walked past it many times on evening walks. Seeing this pic of the Starhotel Majestic in Turin on maps brought back fond memories. I still love authentic northern Italian food and wine from the Piedmont region.
