I don't know of this is a repost, but two guys recover an RC Plane for somebody out of a tree. It makes me happy to know there are still good people around.

Not for a pilot with mad skillz...but in general, yeah you shouldn't bring the helicopter's blades within a few feet of some trees on purpose.
judging by the audio and how the man who got the plane out of the tree never lets his hands get far from the controls.. that is an instructor with a soon to be pilot. No wonder he has mad skillz
happy day.
What a great gesture to make a kids day. Not only gets his plane back, but gets to have a helo land in front of them.
Puts cig in his mouth "Let me have the helicopter for a second"
Balls.
"Them guys are berkeleyin' trippin' right now, they are berkeleyin' trippin' son."
It helps that they were in a robinson R22. It is supposedly a very easy and forgiving helicopter to fly. The unique controls tipped me off.. then reading the text that bottom confirmed it was an r22
That was impressive. Always nice to know there are people who will go the extra mile to help out.
No chopper was involved, but my son crashed his plane in the top of a tree next to the field were we fly. We stopped in to let the homeowner know about it and ask him to call if if fell out of the tree. As it turns out, left to its own devices, it would have been up there until the foam dissolved. Fortunately, the homeowner took a half hour of his time to haul out a ladder and 20 foot pole to help us get it down. Kind of restores some of your faith in humanity. Thanks for sharing this.
The guy in the red shirt is the student. In most helicopters the pilot in command sits on the right.
