I really like those Datsun pickups and the red Civic.
I've been trying to learn how to win an auction on ebay this week. I bought an unopened 12 car value pack of Hotwheels Nascar cars. I also bought a "Bbrumm" 1/43 scale diecast car, a 1950 Alfa Romeo Gran Prix car, and a 1/43 scale Minichamps Panasonic Toyota F1 car.
Oh, and a 1/24 scale "Merit" unassembled kit of a 1950 Talbot-Lago Gran Prix car. I missed out on buying several that I would really have liked to have but that's the way an auction goes.
Do any of you know of a good value guide for Hotwheels and diecast cars in general? Also, a value guide for kits would be helpful. One thing I've noticed about ebay is that the prices are all over the map and I can't say that I see why. That's understandable though because I have just begun to try to learn something about them.

Love the Datsun, is that a chin spoiler? And the 2000GT (got the red one, will have to BOLO for the new paint job), but the paint accent thing on the DMC is stupid IMO. Any sign of the Civic EF? My bro has autocrossed one for ten years and I'd love to find it before Xmas.
There is a small chrome chin spoiler on the Datsun but it's not as pronounced as the image on the packaging indicates. The little accent stripes on the DMC look much better in person - they are actually red vs the orangish cast in the picture. I like the Civic as well but haven't found one yet around here.
Civic will be in C cases which should hit at the end of November. B cases will hit this weekend and next week depending on your local stores stock levels. Kmart gets theirs first this Saturday with a mix of A/B and specific color cars.
My collection of late-model Hot Wheels is pretty complete - except for Ferrari models, which I am almost never able to find on store shelves. Is it me, or do they produce a lot less of these?

You know a certain somebody coughmecough is selling quite a large collection of diecasts for way under eBay values in the Classifieds, right?
I am actively looking for that green Aston. I have not seen any around here yet.
Found a short card Aston this morning, it is awesome!
Snagged the black 2000GT, red 2014 Stingray, and the green 69 Mustang.

Found another sweet truck this week.

Man, I'd love to see a stock-ish orange/white two-tone version of that.

Found this at Kmart last night. Thought it was cool being related to guitars.

There is a new version in the latest mix; a 458 in black I believe.
Anyone have extra KITT, Lil' Red Express, or Jetson Hot Wheels? I didn't grab the Jetson one when I saw it & now they are impossible to find, never saw the others in the stores.
If you're looking for something let me know, I may have it or will keep my eyes out.
Got this in the mail, love it!

Also found this windowless beetle and a copo camaro that appears to have slid the last 1/8 mile on its roof!

I found the Civic finally at a local hobby shop, they had one and said Their understanding was one per case. Also picked up the Alfa Romeo 8c they only had two of them.

Thanks, now I'm buying Hot Wheels cars again. Last week I got the Mystery Machine and Love Bug. Yesterday I bought Matchbox A100 van and Karmann Ghia. I am trying to find the Stroker Ace car if anyone has an extra.
THis came today, it's a limited edition sold at the San Diego comic convention.

is there a magic cheap way to store/display them?
My 20yo son has been thumbtacking them in package to a bedroom wall for years now. As his collection grows, that wall just keeps looking better and better.
Got this at local Kmart while on r&r. Caught it out of the corner of my eye, wasn't even hunting. Was just looking to get in and out.
Had no time to take a pic, but here's a hot link:
