I found this on a different forum that was experiencing the same redirects. The instructions below are for an iPhone. Try doing this AND clearing your cache the way you normally would:
"Safari bookmarks is storing history in its folder. Even after deleting history in settings.
Open safari, “bookmark” icon on bottom. Click “time” icon top right. Clear browser history. Should fix pop up."
Cleared cache and just got This new one
Also (and yes, this is more of a temporary fix) try turning off javascript. On your iPhone go to settings>Safari>advanced. See if that stops the redirect ad.
On Google Chrom mobile:
Disabling javascripts has made the jump to button non functional and the links at the top of the page are gone (latest topics, etc)
Just an update, I have not had any redirects since I disabled java, but the lack of functionality that this change presents does not result in a long term solution for me. I can't use the jump to menu and the links at the top of the page are nonexistent. I can't vote on posts or threads, and embedded videos are just hotlinks.
I came across this article from Android Police. It's specific to Google Chrome (on most platforms) and the gist of the article is that in the next few months, Google is going to fix that problem for us by having a default behavior of not allowing uncommanded redirects. In the meantime, the functionality is already there and can be turned on by pasting chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture into your address bar and selecting "Enabled" for the highlighted setting. I've done that on my phone and PC.

Same here. I've had to disable, then reinstall my browser twice in the last two days.

The highlighted behavior is relevant to this problem but is not the functionality you mentioned above. Thanks though, I am trying this as a temporary work around.

Really sorry to hear that. Hope we can get it fixed quickly for you.
I was having Re direct problems the other day and ran a full scan using superantispyware and it found something like 1100 things it needed to fix. Once I did this I have not had any redirect issues. I did this because ghostery kicked in and was stopping the redirect.
Interesting. Thanks, Dean. ECM, want to try running the same software and see if that might be the solution?
I keep getting these on my Android phone. Happened again today, and all I was doing is scrolling through the menu on the main GRM board.
I installed and ran malwarebytes on my android phone. No malware was found. However, I have not seen a redirect yet since I installed it. Will keep you posted.
Seems to happen when I scroll randomly on my Kindle Fire . If we identify the perps may I bludgeon them? I like Cartman and his use of a whiffle bat. It's gonna take a while.

I did the same and got the same results. Although I have had one redirect yesterday. That was the first in a while.
You'll need to log in to post.
