My bedroom ceiling fan has operated non stop, 24/7, for the last 25 years.
Not sure of my point, but that's berkeleying impressive.
Kind of like one of those lights that has been on for 100 plus years. You don't ever shut it off at this point.

I remember the Castrol ads: "we put our oil in 100 New York Taxi cabs to test it's durability".
You're testing in literally the best possible environment. At operating temperature forever because those cars never shut off.
My garage door opener is form 1956, remote control added in the eighties, both still work. Screws, hard contacts, chain, metal, I can rebuild it with generic parts from McMaster Carr. Someday I will replace it, if it ever breaks.
Boil to heat the house is also original, someday I'll update the "controls". One valve two thermostats a thermo couple and a relay.

We sold our Cobalt at 11 years old with the original and my son's finally started to fail at 14, but was still starting the car most of the time. You'd think trunk, or at least remote, mounting would be mandatory just for the environmental benefits.
I bought Gio 2 stroke 1000W generator on Ebay, about 20 years ago, for $75 shipped. Actually I bought two, thinking the first one wouldn't last. The second one is still in the box and the other has thousands of hours on it. When the utility pole went down in a storm in early winter I used it, maxed out, to light my shop 8-12 hrs a day for months until I could replace the pole. It sits outside our garage in case the power goes out. I have an extension cord set up that runs into then living room so PW can watch TV and everyone is happy.
My 1993 Lightning needed a new water pump at 170,000 or so miles about 2 years ago. The one I removed from it was original, going by the date code on it.
Meanwhile, my 2024 Equinox couldn't make it 20,000 miles without needed a new high pressure fuel pump.
I have nothing to add other than sharing how I get raging, raging wood whenever I encounter examples of extreeeeeeme quality.
