My son has a Relic brand watch (#zr15546) and it needs a new battery. He took it to BatteriesPlus and they could get the back off. Next, he tried a local watch dealer. They couldn't get the back off , so they tried to sell him a Rolex. There are no indents to fit a watch wrench if it's a threaded back, and no real edge to get an opening tool on if it's a pressed on type. Anyone know something that I don't about getting this thing open?

There are no notches or dimples at all?

None, which I would be inclined to think means it's pressed on.

I saw that, but it's a generic instruction for most threaded backs.

That's the fallback position if we can't find a simple way to get it off.

Note to self: dont buy a relic. My exo-drive is fine.

My Rolex has yet to need a battery. I won't mention the 3 crystals, cleanings, band repairs, clasp, ....

I would try maybe one more watch specialist, then box it up and mail it back to whoever imports it and get them to put a new battery in it.
