I have rented both karts and cars for road racing, and see a lot of opportunities. Any idea where I can rent a ride for a oval? I have contacted people locally, haven't had any luck. Just interested in try racing before I invest. I have taken laps on a oval before just want to race.
Rusty Wallace has a 2 or 3 day event, training then a big race at the end, but cost a few k.
Not sure where you are located,but there is a team that races at Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut that rents out their cars. $500 and a $500 deposit gets in you in a car for atleast one night.

I am in Erie,Pa, local speedway is Lake Erie Speedway, there is also a dirt track Eriez that is really close.
I rented a ride in a short-track car, but they had it set up to push so hard I really couldn't feel anything. Driving a 3/8 mile oval and getting behind the wheel of a pro-built race car were worthwhile in themselves, but the driving experience wasn't particularly rewarding.
