One tire on my wife's 2018 Mazda6 has a broken bead due to an incident with a curb. This is causing an annoying slow leak. The tires only have like 15k on them and are the OE 225/45-19 Falkens. Seems like we just need two new tires, which is new to me as I typically buy four at a time. I'm thinking I should try to get something close to what's on there now, so I was looking at the Falken ZE960 but they're on national backorder. Is it that big of a deal to mix and match brands for a daily?

Shouldn't be that big of an issue as long as they're relatively comparable tires. You're not going to be driving it at the limit unless you're panic braking.

Pretty much. Seasonality too. I'd try to get similar sort of tread patterns.
Most important thing is that if you replace in pairs, you put the newest tires on the rear. Regardless of fwd/rwd/awd. Reason being that if you were to lose traction in 1 set of wheels, If you lose the rears your wife is now drifting around traction in the fronts. If she loses the fronts she's more likely to "just" understeer.
Otherwise yeah, I would agree with Beer Baron

Oh weird. I guess my local shop (Point S) has different distributers or something?
That website is the direct to consumer arm of American Tire Distributors. They are the same wholesaler who delivers tires to independent shops, dealerships and other sources such as Walmart.

The OE tires have a UTQG of 360 A A. The closest I can find at the local shop has 460 AA A. Seems pretty far apart to me, what do y'all think?

I have the same question about the treadwear rating with those Falkens. How close is "close enough?"
