My boyhood hero passed away yesterday at the age of 91. We watched him on one of the few televised games in 1959 when he hit 4 home runs in a row against the Baltimore Orioles. Growing up in the 50's in Parma Ohio all the kool guys in my neighborhood had Rocky Colavito gloves and played the accordion.
Sorry to hear the loss of your boyhood hero. I didn't know much about Rocky Colavito, but it seemed like it had quite the career.
